"I’ve done Boot Camp, Kickboxing and Yoga with Tammy for the past year. Each activity has provided me the opportunity to feel better about myself and improved my overall fitness levels. It was during a time that my doctor decided to change my blood pressure medication that I realized just how these activities affect my health. The doctor had instructed me to check my blood pressure at home every few days to keep tabs on how the new medication was affecting my blood pressure. I was checking my blood pressure one Saturday afternoon (I do Yoga with Tammy on Saturday mornings) and I was pleasantly surprised to see my readings in the ‘desired’ ranges. At first I thought it was the medication going to work for me, but the next few readings crept up. It was during the next Saturday when I did the readings again, and they were in the desirable ranges again, that I realized it was the relaxation techniques Tammy was teaching us to use at Yoga that were positively affecting my blood pressure. The good news is that I can use these same techniques during times of stress to help me keep my blood pressure under control. I knew that I was feeling better, stronger, and more flexible after these activities, but the lower blood pressure is a bonus that I hadn’t counted on! Thanks Tammy!!!!"

"I have just completed 20 private strength training exercise sessions with TPOP Fitness that spanned about a 3 month period. I won the sessions from the Highland Woman in Business Makeover Contest that TPOP Fitness participated in and very generously donated to me.
When I first started with Tammy, owner of TPOP Fitness, I was in very poor condition; I had no upper body strength, suffered with tendonitis in my right foot, had a bad back, along with sore knees and was afraid to exercise because I did not want to further injure myself.
Tammy developed a personal program for me that strengthened not only my knees, and back but also made my tendonitis disappear after I had suffered with it for almost 2 years. As I improved through the weeks she adjusted the program to make it fit the new stronger and healthier me. Never once was I ever uncomfortable, in pain or challenged to do something I could not do.
Tammy’s sessions are amazing, fun filled, fast paced, different and exciting.
I lost 5% body fat, 24 pounds, 5.5" off my waist, 3" off my hips and it was all painless! My resting heart rate went from a below average rating to a good rating. When I was first tested I was only able to do 5 push ups and 25 sit ups and in three short months I finished up doing 21 push ups and 75 sit ups and felt as if I could continue the test. Not only did my physical body improve but Tammy also helped improve my mental health by letting me know I could push myself farther than I ever dreamed and be successful. As my body became stronger each week so did my mind growing with confidence that I could be successful in changing my health.
Tammy is dedicated, devoted and 100% invested in making sure every client gets a great workout and she is a joy to exercise with. I was never bored as Tammy keeps things moving and interesting, while constantly watching to make sure I was exercising with the correct form. Our friendship grew as we chatted away with tips on how to achieve my goal to become a healthier person. If I had a question and Tammy did not know the answer she would check it out and have an answer for me the next visit, or she would e-mail me a reply. Tammy did a great job teaching me to have fun while exercising. I continue to exercise at home using all the handouts, and programs Tammy developed for me to do on my own and I actually look forward to the days I do the program she developed for me. I missed seeing Tammy on a weekly basis so I have signed up to participate in her Yoga Class.

"For as long as I can remember, I have worked out. I belonged to Bally’s for 20 years, purchased every step aerobic tape on the market and walked, regardless of the weather all to keep my weight in check. Within the last two years, it did not matter how much exercise I did, the extra pounds just kept coming. Frustrated I went in search of a personal trainer. I discovered Tammy’s website, met with her and knew immediately I would enjoy working with her. I liked her philosophy regarding health and fitness and the various programs available from TPOP.
Before starting my personal training sessions I went through Measuring Madness and discovered areas where I had lots of room for improvement, areas where I was average or above, along with my percentage of body fat. "I have wanted to do proper exercise for quite some time but:
1. Didn’t know really how to go about it.
2. I did not want to go to a gym where other people knew what they were doing and there I would be not knowing what to do and feel foolish.
3. My age scared me being 50+. I was sure exercise was the right thing to do but felt I was beyond help.
My sister had joined a gym and had a personal trainer however it wasn’t really a one on one situation, something I wanted but knew it would cost more. The only thing I could do for myself was to eat like a bird and pray I wouldn’t gain weight. At my age, as my Doctor so kindly pointed out to me, I needed to eat less and move a whole lot more. There’s that exercise thing that I knew nothing about! And to top it all off I’m carrying around this thing under my waist called the Meno-pot!
At a Women In Business Dinner the Lord answered my prayer. A woman tall and fit explained that she did personal training one-on-one in your home if you have the equipment or at her home studio. Believe me I was listening! When I found out where she lived I almost passed out, right in my own sub!! After meeting with her I decided I would get the most for my money by purchasing individual instruction sessions.
I thought this would be a workout of complete sweat and pain. (You hear my complete lack of knowledge). What I found was wonderful! I am working out 2 days a week with Tammy. She has taught me a routine to do on my own one day a week. Then 3 days a week I walk briskly on my treadmill for 22 minutes. Tammy changes my routine too which I love. I can’t get bored with it.
I am feeling better than I have in years and since I started about 7 weeks ago I have lost 3 pounds. I do watch what I eat, I know muscle burns calories, and I am happy to say I am not eating like a bird. And the best part! You can wear makeup! You don’t have to sweat like a pig to get fit! (well not yet anyway don’t know what Tammy has in store for me).
Tammy watches me when I exercise! I couldn’t hurt myself if I wanted to! I have met and heard of women winding up having surgery for not properly knowing how to weight lift. I am happy I won’t be one of them. I love my one-on-one time with Tammy! I would recommend it to anyone.
